Crime Watch Report -April 18 to April 24, 2021

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 250 complaints.  

1) File 2021-3763: A vehicle was reported rummaged through in the 1700 block of Admiral Tryon Blvd, French Creek, on April 18th. There was no damage to vehicle and nothing was noted missing.

2) File 2021-3771: Two heavy equipment batteries were reported stolen in the 900 block of Church Road, Parksville, on April 18th.

3) File 2021-3779: A mountain bike was reported stolen in the 1300 block of Pintail Drive, Parksville, on April 19th. The bicycle was recovered on April 28th.

4) File 2021-800067: A Brodie white and black men’s mountain bike was reported stolen in the 200 block of First Avenue, Qualicum Beach, on April 19th. The bike lock was cut by the culprit.

5) File 2021-3784: A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 400 block of Stanford Avenue East, Parksville on April 19th.  Minor damage noted to driver-side door and male suspect observed on video.

6) File 2021-3792: Canada Post mail boxes were reported vandalized in both the 400 block and 200 block of Crescent Road West, Qualicum Beach, on April 19th. No mail was reported missing.

7) File 2021-3833: A break-and-enter of an outbuilding was reported in the 200 block of Lions Way, Bowser, on April 20th. A number of bins full of donations were noted missing.

8) File 2021-3851: A recreational vehicle was reported stolen in the 200 block of Hoylake Road East, Qualicum Beach, on April 21st. The vehicle was located a short time later and a subject was arrested.

9) File 2021-3859: A sprinkler control system was reported stolen in the 100 block of Hirst Avenue West, Parksville, on April 21st.

10) File 2021-800069: A BC vehicle insurance decal was reported stolen in the 400 block of Dogwood Road, Qualicum Beach, on April 21st.

11) File 2021-800070: BC plate LF690F was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 3400 block of Lioness Blvd, Qualicum Beach, on April 21st.

12) File 2021-3924: A prowler was reported in the 600 block of Neden Way, Parksville on April 23rd.

13) File 2021-3925: A black and white Cannondale Triathlon road bike was found in Chef Creek area, Qualicum Beach.  Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim. 

14) File 2021-3930: A prowler was reported in the 100 block of Denman Drive, Qualicum Beach, on April 23rd.

15) File 2021-800071: A Stanley black chrome socket 229 piece set and a Noco GB40 boost, jump starter including battery bank were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 300 block of Memorial Road, Qualicum Beach, on April 23rd. The driver’s side window was reported smashed to gain entry.

16) File 2021-3936: A business was reported vandalized for the fourth time in three months in the 600 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on April 23rd.

17) File 2021-3939: A drone was found in the 1200 block of Walz Road, Qualicum Beach, on April 23rd. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

18) File 2021-3941: Unknown to owner valid BC plate PN2915 was found to have been stolen from a vehicle and replaced with an expired BC plate HD920C in Qualicum Beach, on April 23rd, by an RCMP Member on patrol.

19) File 2021-3968: BC Utility Trailer plate WCJ62G was reported missing in the 1300 block of Leffler Road, Errington, on April 24th.
