Crime Watch Report - April 4 to April 10, 2021

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 253 complaints.  

1) File 2021-3229: A Milwauke impact cordless drill, Milwauke cordless saw and Milwauke cordless grinder were some of the items reported stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of Day Place, Parksville, on April 4th. There was no damage to the vehicle.

2) File 2021-3256: A business break-and-enter was reported in the 200 block of Jensen Avenue, Parksville, on April 5th.  A subject was found nearby and charged.

3) File 2021-3274: A black Ross Pitbull 21 speed bicycle was found at the corner of Northwest Bay Road and Terrien Road, Nanoose Bay, on April 5th. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular office hours to claim.

4) File 2021-3278: A vehicle was reported stolen in the 1100 block of Fair Road, Parksville, on April 6th.  Vehicle located the same day in Nanaimo.

5) File 2021-3282: A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 700 block of Island Highway West, Parksville on April 6th. A rear driver side window was noted smashed.

6) File 2021-3286: An Alberta plate BDK2199 was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of Island Highway West, Parksville on April 6th.

7) File 2021-3292: Three chainsaws, two line saws and an air grease guns were some of the items reported stolen in the 4100 block of Alberni Highway, Qualicum Beach, on April 6th.

8) File 2021-3329: A ladder was reported stolen from a business compound in the 100 block of Harrison Avenue, Parksville, on April 7th.

9) File 2021-3370: A forestry gate was reported damaged in the 5000 block of Mountainview Road, Bowser, on April 8th.

10) File 2021-3390: A residential break-and-enter was reported in the 300 block of Judges Row, Qualicum Beach, on April 9th. A subject was arrested and charged.

11) File 2021-3401: A BC plate DY3811 was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2400 block of Alberni highway, Coombs, on April 9th.

12) File 2021-3413: A traffic control device was reported damaged at the intersection of Memorial and Crescent Road, Qualicum Beach, on April 9th.  Witnesses are asked to contact Oceanside RCMP during regular office hours.

13) File 2021-3448: Three vehicles and a travel trailer were reported vandalized in the 400 block of Island Highway East, Parksville on April 10th.

14) File 2021-3455: Utility lines were reported cut at the pole to the Fire Hall, Qualicum Beach, on April 10th
