Crime Watch Report - December 15 to 21, 2019

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 223 complaints.

 

1) File 2019-13529: A potted Christmas tree was reported stolen in the 300 block of Wembley Road, Parksville, on December 15th.

2) File 2019-13535: A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 300 block of Morrison Avenue, Parksville, on December 15th.

3) File 2019-13543: Money was reported stolen in a residential break-and-enter in the 2500 block of Alberni Highway, Coombs, on December 15th. A suspect has been identified.

4) File 2019-13562: The donation box at the Cathedral Groove Provincial Park was reported damaged and contents removed on December 16th. Physical evidence was left behind by culprits.

5) File 2019-13566: An email is circulating purporting to be from Shaw Cable asking for personal information. Verify emails before responding.

6) File 2019-13578: BC vehicle plate PM045L was reported stolen in the 600 block of Meadow Drive, Parksville, on December 16th.

7) File 2019-13579: Solar lights were reported stolen from a property in the 100 block of Despard Avenue East, Parksville, on December 16th.

8) File 2019-13581: An Ergo brand wheel chair was recovered by Oceanside RCMP in the 100 block of Jensen Avenue, Parksville, on December 16th.  Please contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

9) File 2019-13590: A decorative planter and a hanging Christmas basket was reported stolen as well as a second Christmas basket was damaged beyond repair in the 600 block of Memorial Avenue, Qualicum Beach, on December 17th.

10) File 2019-13604: Dumpsters were reported damaged and garbage strewed about in the 200 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on December 17th.

11) File 2019-13611: A red Infinity mountain bike was found on the side of Island Highway West, French Creek, and dropped off at the RCMP Detachment on December 18th.  Please contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

12) File 2019-13612: A residential break-and-enter was reported in the 2600 block of Alberni Highway, Coombs, on December 18th. A suspect has been identified.

13) File 2019-13620: Graffiti was reported on a building in the 100 block of Morrison Avenue, Parksville, on December 18th.

14) File 2019-13636: A steering wheel lock was reported stolen and papers missing from a vehicle in the 300 block of Martindale Road, Parksville, on December 18th.

15) File 2019-13656: A Guess watch and change was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of Mulberry Place, Parksville, on December 19th. There was no damage to the vehicle.

16) File 2019-13691: Vape juice and a cell phone were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of Oakdowne Road, Qualicum Beach, on December 20th.

17) File 2019-13692: Two propane tanks were stolen from the 1300 block of Alberni Highway, Parksville, on December 20th. Video surveillance was provided.

18) File 2019-13693: A vehicle was reported sprayed with black paint in the 1400 block of Beaver Creek Warf Road, Nanoose Bay, on December 20th.

19) File 2019-13701: A fence, shed and gazebo were reported damaged in the 700 block of Beach Road, Qualicum Beach, on December 20th.

20) File 2019-13711: A Pleasure air soft gun was discovered by RCMP in the woods off of Valley Road, Parksville, on December 20th. Please contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

21) File 2019-13760: An ornamental fence was reported damaged in the 300 block of Birch Avenue, Parksville, on December 21st.
