Crime Watch Report - February 9 to 15, 2020

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 236 complaints.

 

1) File 2020-1168: Prescription sunglasses, change and personal information were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 600 block of Banks Avenue West, Parksville, on February 9th.

2) File 2020-1173: Change was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 800 block of Sunray Close, Parksville, on February 9th.

3) File 2020-1174: A blue DeVinci brand Jack mountain bike valued at $1,500 was reported stolen in the 800 block of Wright Road, Parksville, on February 9th.

4) File 2020-1175: A portion of fence was reported damaged and material removed from a property in the 700 block of Canyon Crescent Road, Qualicum Beach, on February 9th.

5) File 2020-1178: A ShopRider mobile scooter was recovered by RCMP in the 300 block of Morison Avenue, Parksville, on February 9th. Please contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

6) File 2020-1180: Change was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 800 block of Drew Road, Parksville, on February 9th.

7) File 2020-1191: A vehicle was reported rummaged through in the 700 block of Patrick Drive, Parksville, on February 10th. There was no damage to the vehicle.

8) File 2020-1212: A yellow, gas powered Bomag plate compactor valued at $1,000 was reported from a site on Resort Drive, Parksville, on February 10th. It is marked with “The City of Parksville”.

9) File 2020-1219: A residential break-and-enter with an estimated $5,000 damage was reported to a property in the 700 block of Barclay Crescent, Parksville, on February 10th.

10) File 2020-1234: Two outboard motors, Mercury and a Honda brand, a large red tool chest, two trailer batteries and a solar panel were reported stolen from a property in the 1100 block of Industrial Way, Parksville, on February 11th.

11) File 2020-1240: Change was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 1400 block of Cimarron Court, Parksville, on February 11th.

12) File 2020-1243: A rear BC license plate WDD92V was reported lost on February 11th.

13) File 2020-1244: A Chrombook valued at $400 was reported stolen from the public library in Qualicum Beach, on February 11th.

14) File 2020-1248: A Clarion stereo face valued at $300 was stolen and damage to the driver’s door estimated at $300 was reported in the 200 block of Corfield Street, Parksville, on February 11th.

15) File 2020-1259: A glove box was rummaged through and a coffee card was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Belson Street, Parksville, on February 12th.

16) File 2020-12161: Credit cards were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 700 block of Memorial Avenue, Qualicum Beach, on February 12th.

17) File 2020-1266: A set of wrenches stamped “JRH” and assorted hand tools were reported stolen from a locked toolbox in the back of a vehicle in the area of Smithers Road and Bellevue Road, Parksville, on February 12th.

18) File 2020-1269: A Fender amplifier valued at $300, a custom pink electric bike valued at $1,600 and  Christmas decorations valued at $500 were reported stolen from a property in the 100 block of Weld Street, Parksville, on February 12th.

19) File 2020-1271: An unlocked vehicle was reported rummaged through in the 600 block of Tilba Terrace, Parksville, on February 12th.

20) File 2020-1289: An unlocked vehicle was reported rummaged through in the 400 block of Morison Avenue, Parksville, on February 13th.

21) File 2020-1298: Change and food coupons were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 300 block of Moilliet Street, Parksville, on February 13th.

22) File 2020-1301: Two pairs of Spy brand sunglasses valued at $200 each were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Moss Avenue, Parksville, on February 13th.

23) File 2020-1306: A 8’ x 12’ U-Built aluminum tandem axle trailer with ramp, BC plate 97247U, was reported stolen from the 1400 block of Dawson Road, Nanoose Bay, on February 13th.

24) File 2020-1323: A reported residential break-and-enter resulted in the loss of a shower kit valued at $680 from a property in the 3900 block of Bovanis Road, Bowser, on February 13th.

25) File 2020-1329: An unlocked vehicle was reported to have been vandalized in the 900 block of Sanika Close, Parksville, on   February 14th.

26) File 2020-1331: A vehicle door mirror was reported damaged in the 600 block of Neden Way, Parksville, on February 14th.

27) File 2020-1332: An unlocked vehicle was rummaged through in the 200 block of Mulberry Place, Parksville, on February 14th.

28) File 2020-1334: A second vehicle had a door mirror reported damaged in the 600 block of Neden Way, Parksville, on February 14th.

29) File 2020-1383: Sunglasses, loose change and medication were reported stolen from three unlocked vehicles in the 100 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on February 15th.

30) File 2020-1386: Damaged was reported to a soft top vehicle in the 200 block of Moilliet Street South, Parksville, on February 15th.
