Crime Watch Report - January 26 to February 1, 2020

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 230 complaints

 

1) File 2020-749: A business break-and-enter was reported in the 1400 block of Huntley Road, Parksville, on January 26th.  Stolen were 2 used gas tanks, 2 chainsaw used parts and a generator used parts.

2) File 2020-754: A business break-and–enter was reported in the 2300 block of Alberni Highway, Coombs, on January 26th. Windows were reported broken and three individuals were apprehended on-site.

3) File 2020-770: An unlocked vehicle was reported rummaged through with change and cigarettes stolen in the 100 block of Ballenas Place, Parksville, on January 28th.

4) File 2020-774: An unlocked vehicle was reported rummaged through with change and a flip phone stolen in the 1000 block of Brookfield Crescent, Parksville, on January 27th.

5) File 2020-777: A bike was reported stolen from Fair Road, Coombs, and later recovered the same day on Leffler Road, Coombs, on January 27th.

6) File 2020-786: An unlocked vehicle was reported rummaged through in the 900 block of Crystal Court, Parksville, on January 27th.

7) File 2020-789: A BC vehicle license plate, HL355K, was reported stolen in the 2600 block of Noble Road, Nanoose Bay, on January 27th.

8) File 2020-814: A black Pelican case containing a variety of tools engraved with “SH” was reported stolen from a storage building in the 1700 block of Cameron Crescent, Qualicum Beach, on January 28th.

9) File 2020-845: An unlocked vehicle was reported rummaged through in the 1100 block of Wedgewood Close, Parksville, on January 29th.

10) File 2020-854: A door handle was reported ripped off a vehicle with rubber boots, sunglasses and some coats stolen in the 500 block of Little Mountain Road, Parksville, on January 29th.

11) File 2020-883: Chainsaws valued at $7,000 were reported stolen from a work vehicle in the 1400 block of Grafton Avenue, Errington, on January 30th.

12) File 2020-900: A business break-and-enter was reported in the 100 block of Harrison Avenue, Parksville, on January 30th. Damage to the business was estimated at $5,000. A suspect was arrested a short distance away.

13) File 2020-901: A business break-and-enter was reported in the 100 block of Morrison Avenue Parksville, on January 30th. Damage to the business was estimated at $3,000. A suspect was arrested a short distance away.

14) File 2020-911: An attempted business break-and-enter was reported in the 100 block of Craig Street, Parksville, on January 31st. Damage was limited to the door.

15) File 2020-915: A vehicle was reported rummaged through in the 500 block of Meadow Drive, Parksville, on January 31st. The glove box was accessed and the driver’s side door was left ajar.

16) File 2020-924: A key chain with reward cards was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 700 block of Newcastle Avenue, Parksville, on January 31st.

17) File 2020-958: A storage shed was reported forced open in the 1500 block of Stewart Road, Nanoose Bay, on February 1st. Nothing was reported stolen.

18) File 2020-970: Two vehicles were reported egged in vicinity of Wright Road and Highway 19A, Parksville, on February 1st.
