Crime Watch Report - January 31 to February 6, 2021

DetectiveDuring this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 270 complaints.

1) File 2021-947: A residential break-and-enter was reported in the 3500 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum Beach, on January 31st. A digital recorder was listed as stolen.

2) File 2021-962: A gas meter stand was reported vandalized in the 300 block of Island Highway West, Parksville, on January 31st.

3) File 2021-967: BC plate LC578K was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 800 block of Allsbrook Road, Parksville, on January 31st.

4) File 2021-978: A business break-and-enter was reported in the 800 block of Island Highway West, Parksville on February 1st.A window was smashed and an iPad reported stolen.

5) File 2021-982: A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 400 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on February 1st. A broken window as well as damage to the ignition was noted. A property fence also was reported damaged.

6) File 2021-983: A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 500 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on February 1st. A window was smashed and equipment was noted as missing from the commercial vehicle.

7) File 2021-984: A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 400 block of Stanford Avenue East, Parksville, on February 1st. The commercial vehicle was noted to have had a broken passenger window.

8) File 2021-998: A window was reported broken at Storybook Village in the 700 block of Primrose Street, Qualicum Beach, on February 1st.

9) File 2021-800017: A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 200 block of James Street, Parksville, on February 1st. A window was reported smashed and the vehicle rummaged through.

10) File 2021-1061: A shed break-and-enter was reported in the 800 block of Wembley Road, Parksville, on February 3rd. Damaged was noted to the door and frame.

11) File 2021-1065: Refundable containers donated to Ronald McDonald House were reported stolen in the 100 block of Rathtrevor Park, Parksville, on February 3rd.

12) File 2021-1084: A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 300 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on February 3rd.

13) File 2021-1085: A red Apollo bicycle was found in the 500 block of Wembley Road, Parksville on February 3rd. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

14) File 2021-1105: BC plate NB3750 was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 500 block of Lowry’s Road, Parksville, on February 4th.

15) File 2021-1106: An outbuilding break-and-enter was reported in the 2400 block of Grafton Road, Errington, on February 4th. Damage to a window was noted as well as the theft of a new Makita MAC5200 3HP air compressor.

16) File 2021-1109: Change was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 300 block of Park View Avenue, Parksville, on February 4th.

17) File 2021-1117: A prowler was reported in the 900 block of Roberton Blvd, Parksville, on February 4th.

18) File 2021-1126: Refundable containers were reported stolen from a property in the 5300 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum Beach, on February 4th.

19) File 2021-1131: BC plate HV204S was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 3800 block of Marples Road, Qualicum Beach, on February 4th.

20) File 2021-1149: Wooden pallets were reported stolen from a business in the 1400 block of Huntley Road, Parksville, on February 5th. A subject was identified.

21) File 2021-1150: A black and yellow Champion generator and a jigsaw were reported stolen in the 1000 block of Maple Lane Drive, Parksville, on February 5th.

22) File 2021-1165: An unlocked vehicle was reported rummaged through in the 800 block of Mallory Avenue, Parksville, on February 5th.
