Crime Watch Report - July 3 to 9, 2022

DetectiveDuring this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 294 complaints.

1) File 2022-6145: Recycled bottles valued at $200 were reported stolen in the 600 block of Alberni Highway, Parksville on July 3.

2) File 2022-6154: A building was sprayed with graffiti in the 800 block of Wembley Road, Parksville, on July 3. 

3) File 2022-6158: A male prowler was reported in the 2200 block of Halona Way, Coombs, on July 3. A male was apprehended and transported to cells.

4) File 2022-6178: A female prowler was reported in the 200 block of Pym Street, Parksville, on July 4.

5) File 2022-6192: A black Samsung cell phone and a vape pen were found in the area of Lodgepole Drive and Foxtail Avenue, Parksville, on July 4. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

6) File 2022-6201: The public washrooms at the Parksville Community Park were reported damaged by an arsonist on July 4.

7) File 2022-6211: A business break-and-enter was reported in the 100 block of Memorial Avenue, Parksville, on July 5. Entry was made by smashing a glass door.

8) File 2022-6219: A grey with red trim Cube brand e-bike, a black Del Sol brand e-bike, two Giant brand bicycles, a Stihl weed eater and hedge trimmer were reported stolen in the 500 block of Willow Street, Parksville, on July 5. All were stored in a shed that had its lock cut off.

9) File 2022-800095: BC plate J16297 was reported stolen from a motorcycle in the 600 block of Imperial Drive, Parksville, on July 5.

10) File 2022-6251: Posted signs were reported sprayed with graffiti at the top of the steps leading to the water on Doehle, Parksville, on July 6.

11) File 2022- 6266: A flag and pole were found in the 300 block of Birch Avenue, Parksville, on July 6. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

12) File 2022-6271: A grey Scott brand mountain bike was reported stolen in the area of Beach Road and Second Avenue West, Qualicum Beach, on July 7.

13) File 2022-6344: A residential break-and-enter was reported in the 2700 block of Van Isle Road, Qualicum Beach, on July 8. An estimated $6,000 worth of marked tools were reported missing.

14) File 2022-6360: A black BMX brand bicycle with green wheels was reported stolen in the 200 block of Cameron Street, Parksville, on March 8.

15) File 2022-6369: A vehicle was reported stolen in the 100 block of Island highway East, Parksville, on July 8. The vehicle was recovered the next day and a female detained.

16) File 2022-6388: A business was reported sprayed with graffiti in the 200 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on July 9.

17) File 2022-6398: A set of four keys were found in the area near Jensen Avenue and Corfield Street, Parksville, on July 9. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

18) File 2022-6400: A break-and-enter of a sports equipment storage shed was reported in the 100 block of Pym Street, Parksville, on July 9.

19) File 2022-8000101: Rear BC plate PA1382 was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 800 block of Allsbrook Road, Parksville, on July 9.

20) File 2022-8000102: Rear BC plate 87981D was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Little Mountain Road, Parksville, on July 9.
