Crime Watch Report - March 1 to 7, 2020

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 212 complaints.

 

1) File 2020-1873: A wallet was reported stolen form an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Memorial Avenue, Qualicum Beach, on March 1st.

2) File 2020-1876: An Arlo Pro video camera valued at @$230 was reported stolen from a property break-and-enter in the 200 block of Moilliet Street South, Parksville, on March 1st.

3) File 2020-1880: Various hand tools, grinders and a Stihl 661 chainsaw were reported stolen from a vehicle bolt down tool box in the 2400 block of Alberni Highway, Coombs, on March 1st.

4) File 2020-1909: BC vehicle plate MT9177 was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2100 block of Saddle Drive, Nanoose Bay, on March 2nd.

5) File 2020-1920: A donation bin was reported pilfered in the 100 block of Island Highway West, Parksville, on March 2nd.

6) File 2020-1932: A company credit card was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2100 block of Lodgepole Drive, Parksville, on March 3rd.

7) File 2020-1934: A merchant was reportedly assaulted when confronting a shoplifter in the 100 block of Hirst Avenue, Parksville, on March 3rd.

8) File 2020-1937: A local resident was a reported victim of a computer fraud on March 3rd. A pop up message appeared and the victim clicked allowing the perpetrator to eventually gain access to banking information.

9) File 2020-1979: Two chained propane tanks were stolen from a property in the 3200 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum Beach, on March 4th.

10) File 2020-2011: A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 3100 block of Dolphin Drive, Nanoose Bay, on March 5th.

11) File 2020-2022: A resident reported a theft from a motor vehicle in the 200 block of James Street, Parksville, on March 5th.

12) File 2020-2043: A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1400 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on March 6th. Damage was reported to be $500.

13) File 2020-2053: A gym bag with clothing, shoes and sunglasses were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1600 block of Dorcas Point Road, Nanoose Bay, on March 6th.

14) File 2020-2068: A long black coat, a grey with yellow strap cooler bag and heart medication was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of Larkspur Place, Parksville, on March 7th.

15) File 2020-2073: A gift card was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Finholm Street, Parksville, on March 7th.

16) File 2020-2078: A black and orange coloured Bombardier Nishiki bike was recovered from the Parksville Community Park on March 7th.  Please contact the Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.
