Crime Watch Report - March 20 to 26, 2022

DetectiveDuring this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 226 complaints.

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 255 complaints.  

1) File 2022-2441: A horse saddle valued at $800 was reported stolen in the 200 block of Hirst Avenue, Parksville, on March 20.

2) File 2022-2453: A prowler was reported in the 100 block of Jensen Avenue East, Parksville, on March 20.

3) File 2022-2456: A vehicle was reported stolen in the 800 block of Redonda Place, Qualicum Beach, on March 21. The vehicle was recovered in Nanaimo the following day.

4) File 2022-2457: A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 3800 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum Beach, on March 21.

5) File 2022-2460: A 2001 black Acura MDX, BC plate NB004P, was reported stolen in the 2600 block of Northwest Bay Road, Nanoose Bay, on March 21.  The vehicle was recovered in Parksville a few days later.

6) File 2022-2461: Two catalytic converters were reported stolen and a third was damaged in the 500 block of Stanford Avenue, Parksville, on March 21.

7) File 2022-2462: A 1997 black Ford Motorhome, BC plate BN015F, was reported stolen in the 1800 block of Alberni Highway, Coombs, on March 21.

8) File 2022-2463: A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 100 block of Renz Road, Parksville, on March 21.

9) File 2022-2469: Two brown Rattan chairs and blue cushions were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Bramble Street, Parksville, on March 21.

10) File 2022-2490: A vehicle prowler was reported in the 600 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on March 21.

11) File 2022-2496: A wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of Dogwood Street, Parksville, on March 22. The wallet was recovered on March 30.

12) File 2022-2498: A vehicle window was reported broken in the 400 block of Willow Road, Qualicum Beach, on March 22.

13) File 2022-2499: A counterfeit Canadian $100 bill, serial number BVD3075882, was reported received by a business in the 700 block of Memorial Avenue, Qualicum Beach, on March 22.

14) File 2022-2502: A building was reported tagged with graffiti in the 100 block of Hirst Avenue West, Parksville, on March 22.

15) File 2022-2511: Insurance papers were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2200 block of Alberni Highway, Parksville on March 22. There was no reported damage.

16) File 2022-2535: Two portable toilets were reported tagged with graffiti in Rathtrevor Beach Park, Parksville on March 23.

17) File 2022-2536: The steering column of a vehicle was reported damaged in the 200 block of Hirst Avenue West, Parksville, on March 23. There was no sign of forced entry.

18) File 2022-800045: A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 900 block of Coombs Road, Coombs, on March 24.

19) File 2022-2570: A shed break-and-enter was reported in the 900 block of Fairdowne Road, Parksville, on March 24. Nothing was reported missing.

20) File 2022-2583: A vehicle was reported vandalized with a key in the 300 block of Hirst Avenue West, Parksville, on March 24.

21) File 2022-2598: A business break-and-enter was reported in the 3100 block of Dogleg Road, Whiskey Creek, on March 24. Damage noted to compound fencing and some storage lockers had their locks cut with a number of items reported stolen.

22) File 2022-2611: A purple gym bag with personal effects was found in the area of Island Highway and Yambury Road, Qualicum Beach, on March 25. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

23) File 2022-2646: A 25-year-old Bonsai tree including pot was reported stolen in the 400 block of Yambury Road, Qualicum Beach, on March 26.

24) File 2022-2649: A dirt bike and Evinrude motor were reported stolen in the 2200 block of Alberni Highway, Coombs, on March 26.

25) File 2022-2659: Prowlers were reported in the 800 block of Mulholland Drive, Parksville, on March 26.
