Crime Watch Report - May 16 to May 22, 2021

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 278 complaints.  

1) File 2021-4825: Lumber was reported stolen in the 800 block of Wembley Road, Parksville, on May 15th. A suspect was apprehended and arrested.

2) File 2021-4827: A motor home break-and-enter was reported in the 1000 block of Spider Lake Road, Qualicum Beach, on May 16th. 

3) File 2021-4859: Theft of gasoline from a vehicle was reported in the 400 block of Stanford Avenue East, Parksville, on May 17th. Police arrived and arrested a male subject.

4) File 2021-4860: Prowlers were reported in the 500 block of Nanoose Avenue, Parksville, on May 17th.

5) File 2021-4864: A Dewalt sander, drill bits and assorted tools were found in the area of Butler Avenue and Corfield Street South, Parksville, on May 17th. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

6) File 2021-4866: A heavy duty sandwich board advertising plants for sale was reported stolen in the area of Pym Street North and Island Highway West, Parksville, on May 17th.

7) File 2021-4895: A trespasser was reported found sleeping in an owner’s unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of Hamilton Avenue, Parksville, on May 18th.

8) File 2021-4900: A prowler was reported in the 200 block of Lodgepole Drive, Parksville on May 18th. A fence panel was reported damaged.

9) File 2021-4902: A Husqvarna pressure washer valued at $500 was reported stolen in the 900 block of Esslinger Road, Parksville, on May 18th.

10) File 2021-4937: Two community mailboxes were reported damaged in the area of Spider Lake Road and Horne Lake Road, Qualicum Beach, on May 19th.

11) File 2021-4973: Credit cards were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 2600 block of Andover Road, Nanoose Bay, on May 20th.

12) File 2021-5024: A hat with a house key in it was found in the area of Wall Beach Road and Seahaven Road, Nanoose Bay, on May 21st. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

13) File 2021-5072: A motor home break-and-enter was reported in the 200 block of Kendon Drive, Qualicum Beach, on May 22nd. Food and drinks were consumed and the interior was noted to be in disarray.

14) File 2021-5074: A black and orange Kona model Jake 27 speed bicycle was reported stolen in the 100 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on May 22nd.

15) File 2021-5077: A red Honda generator, model EU22001-TC1, was reported stolen from a construction site in the 600 block of Alberni Highway, Parksville, on May 22nd.
