Crime Watch Report - May 3 to May 9, 2020

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 216 complaints.

 

1) File 2020-3831: Change and bank cards were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 700 block of Canyon Crescent Road, Qualicum Beach, on May 3rd.

2) File 2020-3833: A television was reported stolen from a residential break-and-enter in the 1500 block of River Crescent, Parksville, on May 3rd.

3) File 2020-3843: Change was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 700 block of Canyon Crescent Road, Qualicum Beach, on May 3rd.

4) File 2020-3847: A vehicle was vandalized in the 400 block of Wembley Road, Parksville, on May 3rd. Nothing was reported missing.

5) File 2020-3852: A large business roadside sign was reported stolen in the 3200 block of Kirk Road, Qualicum Beach, on May 3rd.

6) File 2020-3855: A residential break-and-enter was foiled in the 900 block of Wright Road, Parksville, on May 3rd. RCMP apprehended two suspects of which one was charged.

7) File 2020-3859: A Canadian Tire socket set, missing clothing, and a broken vehicle window was reported in the 1000 block of Lee Road East, Parksville, on May 4th.

8) File 2020-3862: A vehicle was vandalised in the 200 block of Dogwood Street, Parksville, on May 4th.

9) File 2020-3877: Graffiti was reported on utility poles in the area of Shayle Road and Horne Lake Road, Qualicum Beach, on May 4th.

10) File 2020-3878: A vehicle was reported stolen in the 200 block of Shelley Road, Parksville, on May 4th.  The vehicle was recovered by Nanaimo RCMP a few days later.

11) File 2020-3883: Two propane tanks were reported stolen from a property in the area of Virginia Road and Halona Way, Coombs, on May 4th.

12) File 2020-3893: A garden hose valued at $80 was reported stolen from a property in the 900 block of Riley Road, Parksville, on May 5th.

13) File 2020-3896: BC licence plate UVN51Y was reported stolen from a trailer in the 1500 block of Grafton Avenue, Errington, on May 5th.  There was also damage reported to the trailer.

14) File 2020-3907: An unlocked vehicle was rummaged through in the700 block of Canyon Crescent, Qualicum Beach, on May 5th.

15) File 2020-3916: A 2100 GSD Supercycle bike was found at Roscow Street and Island Highway West, Parksville and turned into the RCMP by a resident on May 6th. Contact Oceanside RCMP at 250-248-6111 during regular business house to claim.

16) File 2020-3923: An unlocked vehicle was rummaged through in the 1000 block of Cantebury Place, Qualicum Beach, on May 6th.

17) File 2020-3927: A vehicle reported stolen on File 2020-3219 was recovered in the 500 block of Horne Lake Road, Qualicum Beach, on May 6th, thanks to a tip from the public.

18) File 2020-3936: An unlocked vehicle was rummaged through in the 1500 block of Marina Way, Nanoose Bay, on May 7th.

19) File 2020-3938: A Honda Model EU3000is generator and a Jonsereed CS2150 chain saw were reported stolen in the 3600 block of Horne Lake Caves Road, Qualicum Beach, on May 7th.

20) File 2020-3941: A hatchet and a fillet knife was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 1500 block of Reef Road, Nanoose Bay, on May 7th.

21) File 2020-3942: A Minkota electric boat motor, a Saint-Croix fishing rod and sunglasses were some of the items reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1200 block of Marina Way, Nanoose Bay, on May 7th.

22) File 2020-3950: Prescription sunglasses were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 1400 block of Marina Way, Nanoose Bay, on May 7th.

23) File 2020-3952: Sunglasses were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 1200 block of Marina Way, Nanoose Bay, on May 7th.

24) File 2020-3953: Change was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1200 block of Marina Way, Nanoose Bay, on May 7th.

25) File 2020-3954: Chocolate Truffles were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 1800 block of Douglas Crescent, Nanoose Bay, on May 7th.

26) File 2020-3975: An unlocked vehicle was reported rummaged through in the 500 block of Johnstone Road, Parksville, on May 8th.

27) File 2020-4011: A Champion 4000 watt generator was reported stolen in the 700 block of Boultbee Drive, Parksville, on May 9th.

28) File 2020-4017: An unlocked vehicle was reported rummaged through in the 800 block of Drew Road, Parksville, on May 9th.

29) File 2020-4018: A Kenwood stereo, a card reader and some essential oils were some of the items reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 1000 block of Lee Road East, Parksville, on May 9th.

30) File 2020-4025: An electric downrigger, tools and a mountain bikes were reported stolen in the 900 block of View Road, Qualicum Beach, on May 9th
