Crime Watch Report - May 9 to May 15, 2021

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 277 complaints.  

1) File 2021-4557: Four large rechargeable batteries were reported stolen from a portable electronic roadside sign in the 6900 block of Island Highway West, Bowser, on May 9th.

2) File 2021-4558: A 50’ garden hose was reported stolen in the 200 block of Elizabeth Avenue, Qualicum Beach, on May 9th.

3) File 2021-4585: A business break-and-enter was reported in the 100 block of Second Avenue, Qualicum Beach, on May 10th. Jewelry and other valuable noted missing.

4) File 2021-4590: A large 24” flower pot was reported stolen in the 100 block of Hirst Avenue West, Parksville, on May 10th. Police provided with video surveillance.

5) File 2021-4592: A prowler was reported climbing on the roof of a building in the 600 bock of Primrose Street, Qualicum Beach, on May 10th.

6) File 2021-4593: Fifteen propane tanks valued at over $1,000 were reported stolen in the 200 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on May 10th.

7) File 2021-4596: A flag was reported stolen from the exterior wall of a business in the 600 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on May 10th. A subject was captured on video surveillance.

8) File 2021-4597: Heavy duty magnets used to keep a bus door opened were reported stolen in the 800 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on May 10th.

9) File 2021-4619: A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 1600 block of Yeo Street, Nanoose Bay, on May 11th.

10) File 2021-4622: Prowlers were reported in the 2500 block of Alberni Highway, Coombs, on May 11th.

11) File 2021-4664: Locks were reported cut off a gated compound in the 200 block of Lions Way, Qualicum Bay, on May 12th.

12) File 2021-4669: A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 600 block of Jones Street, Qualicum Beach, on May 12th.

13) File 2021-4677: A green 2004 Kawasaki KX85 was reported stolen in the 100 block of Hilliers Road North, Qualicum Beach, on May 12th.

14) File 2021-4691: Foot care tools, a Dewalt roller case and change were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Finholm Street North, Parksville on May 13th.

15) File 2021-4692: A prowler was reported in the 400 block of Garrett Road, Qualicum Beach, on May 13th.

16) File 2021-4699: Graffiti was reported on a building in the 100 block of Alberni Highway, Parksville, on May 13th.

17) File 2021-4729: A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1200 block of Industrial Way, Parksville on May 14th.
