Crime Watch Report - April 17 to 23, 2022

DetectiveDuring this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 226 complaints.

1) File 2022-3290: A vehicle window was reported smashed and a wallet stolen in the 200 block of Chestnut Street, Parksville, on April 17.

2) File 2022-3301: A tent/shelter, fishing rods and life jackets were some of the items reported stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Village Way, Qualicum Beach, on April 17.

3) File 2022-A pair of Ray Ban sunglasses and a Starbucks tumbler were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Hoylake Road West, Qualicum Beach, on April 18.

4) File 2022-3325: Running shoes and a yoga mat were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of Sunningdale Road East, Qualicum Beach, on April 18.

5) File 2022-3332: Rear BC plate MK561J was reported stolen form a vehicle in the 5000 block of Thompson Clarke Drive East, Bowser, on April 18.

6) File 2022-3342: A shed was reported vandalized in the 200 block of Fern road, Qualicum Beach, on April 19. Damaged reported to door and lock.

7) File 2022-3347: A fire extinguisher, batteries and lights were reported stolen from a construction excavator in the 100 block of Rupert Road West, Qualicum Beach, on April 19.

8) File 2022-3355: A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 3600 block of Alberni Highway, Whiskey Creek, on April 19.

9) File 2022-3358: Compound fencing was reported damaged in the 600 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on April 19. 

10) File 2022-3375: A female was reported spraying graffiti on sidewalks in downtown Parksville, on April 20. 

11) File 2022-3410: A small control box for an exterior heat pump was reported stolen in the 100 block of Hirst Avenue West, Parksville, on April 21.

12) File 2022-3430: A vehicle was reported vandalized with a window smashed and gas tank punctured in the area of Memorial Avenue and Rupert Road East, Qualicum Beach, on April 21. Sunglasses and a jumper cable also noted missing.

13) File 2022-3444: Compound fencing was reported damaged and three motion lights were reported stolen in the 1200 block of Alberni Highway, Parksville, on April 22.

14) File 2022-3489: A storage locker break-and-enter was reported in the 300 block of Morison Avenue, Parksville, on April 23. A male suspect was arrested a short distance away.
