Crime Watch Report - August 21 to 27, 2021

DetectiveDuring this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 270 complaints.  

 

1) File 2021-9040: Two wallets were reported stolen from a campsite in the area of Horne Lake Road and Bay Road East, Qualicum Beach, on August 21.

2) File 2021-9079: Change, an iPad Air 3 and a lunch box were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 3400 block of Goodrich Road, Nanoose Bay, on August 22.

3) File 2021-9099: A silver Raleigh mountain bike was found in the 300 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on August 23. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

4) File 2021-9113: A blue CCM mountain bike was found in the 1000 block of Canterbury Place, Qualicum Beach, on August 23. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

5) File 2021-9122: A resident reported a telephone fraud by a person posing as an employee of TELUS selling a discount package of services, in Parksville, on August 23.

6) File 2021-9128: A generator and three inflatable paddle boards were reported stolen in the 1000 block of Shayla Road, Qualicum Beach, on August 23.

7) File 2021-9152: Drug paraphernalia and remnants of a small fire in the doorway of a business was reported in the 200 block of Island Highway West, Parksville, on August 24. 

8) File 2021-9154: Election signs were reported defaced in the area of Alberni Highway and Britannia Blvd, Qualicum Beach, on August 24.

9) File 2021-9155: Six message board batteries were reported stolen in the area of Kaye Road and Chattel Road, Nanoose Bay, on August 24.

10) File 2021-9184: A tool kit was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of Island Highway East, Parksville on August 25. 

11) File 2021-9194: A commercial sign was reported vandalized in the 1800 block of Kaye Road, Nanoose Bay, on August 25.

12) File 2021-9214: The security gate of a business was reported vandalized in the 100 block of Morrison Avenue, Parksville, on August 26.

13) File 2021-9219: Two truck running boards were reported stolen from a property in the 2000 block of Saddle Drive, Nanoose Bay, on August 26.

14) File 2021-9229: Exterior water taps were reported left opened twice on a property in the 1000 block of Shayla Road, Qualicum Beach, on August 26.

15) File 2021-92343: A Stihl gas powered leaf blower was found in the 300 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on August 26. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

16) File 2021-9241: A DVD player and change were reported stolen in a residential break-and-enter in the 3500 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum Beach, on August 26.

17) File 2021-9254: A construction site break-and-enter was reported in the 100 block of Jensen Avenue East, Parksville, on August 27.  Suspects fled the scene as police arrived.

18) File 2021-9260: Two storage locker break-and-enters were reported in the 1700 block of Country Road, Qualicum, on August 27.

19) File 2021-800153: A Ryobi reciprocating saw including 18 volt Ryobi battery pack were reported stolen in the 1900 block of Widgeon Road, Qualicum Beach, on August 27.
