Crime Watch Report - August 28 to September 3, 2022

DetectiveDuring this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 276 complaints.

1 File 2022-8457: A vehicle was reported stolen in the 400 block of Despard Avenue West, Parksville, on August 29. Vehicle recovered in Ladysmith on August 31 missing both BC plates LV6071.

2) File 2022-8481: A green John Deere model 2320 farm tractor was reported stolen in the 700 block of Mariner Way, Parksville, on August 30.

3) File 2022-8485: A residential solarium window was reported broken in the 700 block of Canyon Crescent Road, Qualicum Beach, on August 30.

4) File 2022-8493: A trailer receiver hitch, Fastway E-2 sway bar attachments, KUMA Big Bear table and a Flame King RV mounted BBQ motorhome gas grille were some of the items reported stolen from a motorhome in the 1000 block of Resort Drive, Parksville, on August 30.

5) File 2022-8496: Golf clubs, camping equipment and trailer hitches were reported stolen from a storage locker in the 3500 block of Outrigger Road, Nanoose Bay, on August 30.

6) File 2022-8500: A residence was reported egged a number of times in the 800 block of Ocean Place, Parksville, on August 30.

7) File 2022-8509: BC plates SG7091 were reported stolen from a vehicle at Cameron Lake, Qualicum, on August 30.

8) File 2022-8515: An unattended fire was reported under the orange bridge in the 700 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on August 30. Police extinguished the fire.

9) File 2022-8520: A vehicle was reported stolen in the 1500 block of Pacific Crescent, Parksville, on August 30. Vehicle later recovered that day in downtown Parksville.

10) File 2022-8532: A motor home was reported stolen in the 1300 block of Industrial Way, Parksville, on August 31.  The motor home was recovered later that day in the 800 block of Wembley Road, Parksville.

11) File 2022-8533: The ignition switch of an unlocked vehicle was reported damaged in the 1200 block of Industrial Way, Parksville, on August 31.

12) File 2022-8541: Registration papers and sunglasses were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 300 block of Blower Road, Parksville, on August 31.

13) File 2022-8551: A Necky brand kayak and a Walker Bay brand dinghy were recovered by the Canadian Coast Guard. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

14) File 2022-8560: A blue four door 2009 Nissan Versa, BC plates 629SHH, was reported stolen in the 1400 block of Alberni highway, Parksville, on August 31.

15) File 2022-8569: Nighttime prowlers were reported in the 2400 block of Greenridge Crescent, Nanoose Bay, on September 1.

16) File 2022-8571: A wallet with contents was reported stolen from an unsecured vehicle in the 200 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on September 1.

17) File 2022-8580: A black with turquoise lettering Lectric XP Step Thru 2.0 electric bike was reported stolen in the 400 block of Dogwood Road, Qualicum Beach, on September 1.

18) File 2022-8589: A blue 2019 Sunrise Fortress 1700 TA mobility scooter was reported stolen in the 200 block of Moilliet Street South, Parksville, on September 1.

19) File 2022-8647: A vehicle was reported stolen in the 600 block of Hirst Avenue West, Parksville, on September 3. Damaged vehicle was recovered in Nanaimo on September 6.

20) File 2022-8648: A residential break-and-enter was reported in the 600 block of Pioneer Crescent, Parksville, on September 3. A male subject has been identified.

21) File 2022-8655: A wallet and backpack were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 2300 block of Alberni Highway, Coombs.

22) File 2022-8677: A prowler was reported in the 1000 block of Price Road, Parksville, on September 3.
