Crime Watch Report - December 26 to January 1, 2022

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 187 complaints.  

 

1) File 2021-13434: A vehicle was reported stolen in the 1000 block of Herring Gull Way, Parksville, on December 26. Vehicle recovered in Nanaimo on December 29.

2) File 2021-13437: A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 4500 block of Callow road, Bowser, on December 26. Two tires were noted slashed and damage reported to roof.

3) File 2021-13453: A business break-and-enter was reported in the 400 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on December 26. A male was arrested nearby.

4) File 2021-13470: A Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) duffel bag containing ski gear was reported to have fallen from a vehicle in the area of Chef Creek, Island Highway.

5) File 2021-13477: A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 200 block of Moilliet Street South, Parksville, on December 27. The windshield was reported cracked and a wiper blade damaged.

6) File 2021-13486: A vehicle was reported rummaged through in the 300 block of Morison Avenue, Parksville, on December 28. Two subjects were captured on video surveillance. 

7) File 2021-13511: A grey Supercycle Storm Girls mountain bike was found in the 1200 block of Taylor road, Parksville on December 29. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

8) File 2021-13513: A catalytic converter as reported stolen from a vehicle in the 900 block of Island Highway East., Parksville, on December 29. 

9) File 2021-13515: A silver Norco street bike was found in the 800 block of Jones Street, Qualicum Beach, on December 29. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim. 

10 File 2021-13520: A green cast iron table and chairs were reported stolen in the 100 block of Morison Avenue, Parksville on December 29.

11) File 2021-13539: Two down riggers were reported stolen from a vessel moored in the 1000 block of Lee Road, Parksville, on December 30.

12) File 2022-9: Damage was reported in a vestibule of a business caused by a small fire in the 100 block of Alberni Highway, Parksville on January 1
