Crime Watch Report - January 2 to 8, 2022

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 218 complaints.  

 

1) File 2022-32: A red Nakamura mountain bike was found in the 100 block of Ford Avenue, Parksville, on January 2. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

2) File 2022-35: A business break-and-enter was reported in the 3500 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum, on January 2. Estimated damages of $2,000 to replace door and frame.

3) File 2022-77: A 24-inch sword and sheath was found in the area of Middleton Avenue, Parksville, on January 3. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

4) File 2022-99: A counterfeit Canadian $100 bill was accepted by a business in the Parksville, area on January 4.

5) File 2022-101: A business break-and-enter was reported in the 1300 block of Valley Road, Parksville, on January 4. A catalytic converter was noted stolen from a vehicle as well as 250 feet of copper wire.

6) File 2022-104: A building was vandalized in the 100 block of Hirst Avenue West, Parksville, on January 4. A wooden railing was noted burnt nearby.

7) File 2022-800001: BC plate JG5272 was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1300 block of Alberni Highway, Parksville, on January 4. 

8) File 2022-800001: BC plate R24507 was reported stolen in the 1400 block of Alberni Highway, Parksville, on January 4. 

9) File 2022-121: A black leather duffle bag containing new men’s clothing was found in the 800 block of Retegno Avenue, Parksville, on January 4, Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim. 

10) File 2022-139: Propane was reported stolen from a business in the 3600 block of Alberni Highway, Whiskey Creek, on January 5. 

11) File 2022-146: A 35-year-old Rolex GMT Master II Coke watch was lost in the 700 block of Jones Street, Qualicum Beach, on January 6. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours if found.

12) File 2022-170: A suspected iPhone 9 was found in the area of Alberni Highway and Highway 19, Parksville, on January 4. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.
13) File 2022-178: A catalytic converter and fuel were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Ravensbourne Avenue, Qualicum Beach, on January 7.

14) File 2022-800005: A BC plate validation sticker, 78534767, expiry 2022-09-29, was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of First Avenue, Qualicum Beach, on January 7.

15) File 2022-800006: A BC plate validation sticker, 98340964, expiry 2022-11-15, was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1400 block of Island Highway West, Nanoose Bay, on January 7.

16) File 2022-230: A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the area of Laburnum Road and Claymore Road West, Qualicum Beach, on January 8.
