Crime Watch Report - March 29 to April 4, 2020

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 213 complaints.

 

1) File 2020-2754: A Craftsman Mitre Saw was recovered by RCMP thanks to a resident’s report on McVickers Street, Parksville, on March 29th. Please contact Oceanside RCMP at 250-248-6111 during regular business hours to claim.

2) File 2020-2772: A security camera was reported damaged in the 100 block of Corfield Street South, Parksville, on March 29th. A suspect was identified and charged.

3) File 2020-2776: A vehicle alarm was reported activated by an intruder in the 3500 block of Broom Road, Qualicum Beach, on March 29th. Nothing was stolen and no damage reported.

4) File 2020-2784: An air compressor, cordless drill, other tools and parts valued at $450 were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Moilliet Street North, Parksville, on March 30th.

5) File 2020-2790: A Webber BBQ was reported stolen from a property in the 400 block of Morison Avenue, Parksville, on March 30th.

6) File 2020-2793: Jewellery was reported stolen from a business break-and-enter in the 100 block of Hirst Avenue West, Parksville, on March 30th.

7) File 2020-2813: An unlocked vehicle was rummaged through in the 500 block of Tulip Avenue, Parksville, on March 31st.

8) File 2020-2827: Insurance and registration papers were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 700 block of San Malo Crescent, Parksville, on March 31st.

9) File 2020-2828: a 100 litre plastic tote was reported stolen from a property in the 1300 block of Alberni highway, Parksville, on March 31st.

10) File 2020-800003: A projector was reported stolen from a property in the 200 block of Moilliet Street, Parksville, on April 1st.

11) File 2020-2853: A silver Trek 1000 road bike was reported stolen in the 1600 block of Stroulger Road, Nanoose Bay, on April 1st.

12) File 2020-2854: A chain link fence was reported damaged in the 1000 block of Industrial Way, Parksville, on April 1st.

13) File 2020-2856: Landscape lighting was reported stolen in the 100 block of Hirst Avenue, Parksville, on April 1st. The theft was captured on video surveillance.

14) File 2020-2857: Packaged frozen food was reported stolen from a property in the 1600 block of Timberwolf Place, Nanoose Bay, on April 2nd.

15) File 2020-2859: A Yamaha scooter with BC plate W38774 was reported stolen in the 400 block of Aldous Road, Qualicum Beach, on April 1st.

16) File 2020-2871: An observant individual in the 100 block of Island Highway West, Parksville, observed a person in a confused state. Attending RCMP recognized the individual and returned them to their residence.

17) File 2020-2883: A green 2004 Honda Foreman ATV was reported stolen from a property in the 2200 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum Beach, on April 2nd.

18) File 2020-2909: A chain link fence was reported damaged in the 1100 block of Herring Gull Way, Parksville, on April 3th.

19) File 2020-2910: Change and a small electrical power bank were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 300 block of Allwood Road, Parksville, on April 3rd.  There were no signs of forced entry.

20) File 2020-2913: Prescription sunglasses were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 1200 block of Gabriola Drive, Parksville, on April 3rd.

21) File 2020-2916: An Apple iPod Nano 3 was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 800 block of Gaetjen Street, Parksville, on April 3rd.  There were no signs of forced entry.

22) File 2020-800004: Three pairs of sunglasses, a garage door opener, a pair of binoculars and other items were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 700 block of Fletcher Avenue, Parksville, on April 4th.

23) File 2020-2961: A business break-and-enter was reported in the 400 block of Wembley Road, Parksville, on April 4th. Damage to the property estimated at $600.

24) File 2020-2966: A wallet and cash was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 700 block of Wembley Road, Parksville, on April 5th. There was no damage to vehicle.
