Crime Watch Report - March 7 to March 13, 2021

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 282 complaints.  

1) File 2021-2188: A business break-and-enter was reported in the 100 block of Hirst Avenue East, Parksville, on March 7th. A window was noted broken and merchandise stolen. 

2) File 2021-2191: A chain saw was reported stolen from a building in the 1200 block of Fair Road, Parksville, on March 7th. Stolen items were recovered the next day.

3) File 2021-2199: A 2007 red Honda Foreman and a 2008 red Honda Foreman ATV were reported stolen in the 100 block of Bay Road, Horne Lake, on March 7th.  

4) File 2021-2200: A prowler was reported in the 900 block of Meadowlark Place, Qualicum Beach, on March 7th.

5) File 2021-A trailer break-and-enter was reported in the 700 block of Drew Road, Parksville, on March 7th. A suspect was found and arrested.

6) File 2021-2228: Canada Post boxes were reported vandalized in the area of Meadowood Way and Warn Way, Qualicum, on March 8th. 

7) File 2021-800035: BC rear plate DV217G was reported stolen from a vehicle in the Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park, on March 8th.

8) File 2021-2261: Sunglasses, cash and a credit card were among the items reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of Corfield Street South, Parksville, on March 9th.

9) File 2021-2277: A maroon coloured Specialized brand, Rock Hopper road bicycle was reported stolen in the 100 block of Pym Street North, Parksville, on March 9th.

10) File 2021-2282: A trailer break-and-enter was reported in the 800 block of Drew Road, Parksville, on March 9th. Nothing noted missing however the trailer had been slept in.

11) File 2021-2298: Cash and CDs were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Horne Lake Road, Qualicum, on March 10th.

12) File 2021-2299: A vehicle was reported stolen from a property in the 1400 block of Industrial Way, Parksville on March 10th. Vehicle was recovered by RCMP in Prince George.

13) File 2021-2303: A purple Samsung Galaxy 8 and a blue Samsung Galaxy 20 phone were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Lee Road East, Parksville on March 10th.

14) File 2021-2369: A business was reported vandalized in the 1100 block of Smithers road, Parksville on March 12th. A window was said to have sustained minor damage.

15) File 2021-2388: A red and white Schwin 5 speed bicycle with “Tim Hortons” written on the frame was reported stolen in the 200 block of Corfield Street North, on March 12th.

16) File 2021-2392: BC plate RD2938 was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1300 block of Errington road, Errington, on March 12th.

17) File 2021-2437: A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 100 block of Butler Avenue, Parksville, on March 13th. Damage noted to two door panels of the locked vehicle.
