Crime Watch Report - May 15 to 21, 2022

DetectiveDuring this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 237 complaints.

1) File 2022-4241: A black 2019 Rocky Mountain Instinct A70 mountain bike was reported stolen in the 2200 block of Errington Road, Errington, on May 15.

2) File 2022-4253: Road signs were reported vandalized in the area of Horne Lake Road and Christie Road, Qualicum Beach, on May 15.

3) File 2022-4266: BC plate MR9183 was reported missing from a vehicle on May 16.

4) File 2022-4269: BC plate WJG40G was reported missing from a trailer in the 200 block of Jimmy Road, Qualicum Beach, on May 16.

5) File 2022-4282: A blue Amazon vest and a purse containing two phones were turned into the police on May 16. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

6) File 2022-4298 A business break-and-enter was reported in the 200 block of Island Highway East, Parksville on May 17. A front window was noted broken and product missing.

7) File 2022-4308: A black case containing religious music CDs was found in the 500 block of Wheeler Avenue, Parksville, on May 17. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

8) File 2022-4348: A white envelope containing $70 was found in the area of Lodgepole Drive and Hirst Avenue, Parksville, on May 18. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

9) File 2022-4354: BC plates PT8413 were reported stolen form a vehicle in the 300 block of Boorman Road, Qualicum Beach, on May 18.

10) File 2022-4377: BC plate Z99340 was reported missing from a motorcycle in the 300 block of McKinnon Street, Parksville on May 19.

11) File 2022-4382: A red and black golf bag containing a Ping driver, three Ping woods and Odyssey Tailor irons were reported stolen from an open unattended garage in the 2300 block of Andover Road, Nanoose Bay, on May 19.

12) File 2022- 4398: Three individuals were reported to have started a fire that charred a structure in the 200 block of Martindale Road, Parksville, on May 20. 

13) File 2022-4400: A black GMC Topkick mountain bicycle was found in the 1000 block of Coldwater Road, Parksville on May 20. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

14) File 2022-4413: A battery, electrical and hydraulic lines were reported stolen from a construction dump trailer in the 1200 block of Island Highway East, Parksville on May 20.

15) File 2022-4416: A vehicle was reported to have sustained damage in an attempted theft of a catalytic converter in the 800 block of Island Highway West, Parksville, on May 20.

16) File 2022-4451: A business break-and-enter was reported in the 1200 block of Island Highway East, Parksville on May 21. Damage reported to a number of historic buildings and some artifacts missing.

17) File 2022-4455: A vehicle was reported to have sustained damage in an attempted theft of a catalytic converter in the 300 block of Craig Street, Parksville on May 21. 

18) File 2022-4457: A catalytic converter was reported stolen form a vehicle in the 2700 block of Alberni Highway, Qualicum Beach, on May 21
