Crime Watch Report - May 8 to 14, 2022

DetectiveDuring this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 215 complaints.

1) File 2022-4024: Three bags of recycled bottles were reported stolen by two males climbing a fence in the 600 block of Alberni Highway, Parksville, on May 8.

2) File 2022-4027: A call from the public resulted in an unregistered vehicle being towed and plates seized in the 100 block of Allsbrook Road, Parksville, on May 8. 

3) File 2022-4030: A male trespasser was reported in the 500 block of Crescent Road, Qualicum Beach, on May 8.

4) File 2022-4031: Four trespassers were reported in the 100 block of Island Highway West, Parksville on May 8, going through a secured dumpster.

5) File 2022-4047: A vehicle was reported stolen in the 1200 block of Smithers Road, Parksville, on May 9. Vehicle was recovered in Nanaimo the same day.

6) File 2022-4051: A counterfeit Canadian $100 bill, serial number EJC8214518, was reported received by a business in the 200 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on May 9.

7) File 2022-4066: A teal colour Brodie ladies’ cruiser bicycle was reported stolen in the 500 block of Wembley Road, Parksville, on May 9.

8) File 2022-4067: BC trailer plate WMX31B was reported stolen in the 6900 block of Island Highway West, Bowser, on May 9.

9) File 2022-4094: Money, a Mammut Hiking backpack and size 10.5 Bauer inline road hockey skates were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Moilliet Street north, Parksville on May 10.

10) File 2022-4113: A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the area of Island Highway East and Dawson Road, Nanoose Bay, on May 11.

11) File 2022-4115: A business compound break-and-enter was reported in 1000 block of Herring Gull Way, Parksville on May 11. Damages noted to fencing in two places.

12) File 2022-800064: BC trailer plate WMC13N was reported stolen in the 1000 block of Industrial Way, Parksville on May 11.

13) File 2022-800065: BC vehicle plate MG922A was reported stolen in the first block of Ballenas Place, Parksville, on May 12.

14) File 2022-4163: A trespasser was reported in the 600 block of Doehle Road, Parksville on May 12.

15) File 2022-4185: A trailer hitch, cable for a downrigger and a knife were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 300 block of Temple Street, Parksville, on May 13.

16) File 2022-4200: BC trailer plate 88664J was reported stolen in the 1300 block of Lawson Place, Parksville, on May 13.

17) File 2022-800066: BC vehicle plate NR158X was reported missing in the 400 block of Young street, Parksville, on May 14.
