Crime Watch Report - November 3 to 9, 2019

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 259 complaints.

 

1) File 2019-12037: A resident lost their wallet at a business in the 800 block of Island Highway West, Parksville, and it was later returned intact to the Oceanside RCMP on November 3rd.

2) File 2019-12038: A communication box on Allsbrook Road, Parksville, was opened on November 3rd. No damage was apparent.

3) File 2019-12060: A vehicle was reported stolen from a business in the 400 block of Stanford Avenue East, Parksville, on November 4th. Vehicle was recovered in Campbell River by RCMP.

4) File 2019-12068: A vehicle was reported rummaged through in the 100 block of Cooper Place, Parksville, on November 4th. There was no damage and nothing reported missing.

5) File 2019-12082: A local resident reported a call from someone purporting to be from Service Canada asking for their banking information and social insurance number. This is a scam call as Service Canada would not call for this information.

6) File 2019-12103: Fuel was reported syphoned from a vehicle in the 2600 block of Island Highway West, Parksville, on November 5th.

7) File 2019-12113: A 10” speaker was found in the 600 block of Foxtail Avenue, Parksville, and turned in the RCMP on November 5th.  If this is yours contact Oceanside RCMP at 250-248-6111 during regular business hours.

8) File 2019-12118: A male tried to pass a counterfeit US$100 bill at a business in the 300 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on November 5th.

9) File 2019-12124: A male tried to pass a counterfeit US$100 bill at a business in the 700 block of Memorial Avenue, Qualicum Beach, on November 5th.

10) File 2019-12127: Some fishing tackle and compact discs were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle at Cameron Lake on November 5th.

11) File 2019-12130: A BC vehicle plate BH760M was reported missing from a vehicle in the 200 block of Garden Road West, Qualicum Beach, on November 5th.

12) File 2019-12148: A red beach fold up cart values at $90 was reported stolen from a business in the 100 block of Morison Avenue, Parksville, on November 6th.

13) File 2019-12153: A one metre tall bronze coloured statute of St. Francis was reported stolen from a residence in the 1200 block of Prestwick Place, Parksville, on November 6th.

14) File 2019-12156: A counterfeit US$100 dollar bill was accepted by a business in the 100 block of Corfield Street North, Parksville, on November 6th.

15) File 2019-12185: A Business Break and Enter was reported in 100 block of Alberni Highway, Parksville, on November 7th.  A safe, containing cash was stolen.

16) File 2019-12193: A counterfeit CN$50 was accepted by a business in the 300 block of Island Highway West, Parksville, on November 7th.

17) File 2019-12222: An Evenrude 9.9 HP motor, Honda 3000 generator, Brad nailer, Husky chainsaw and a Snap On tool chest containing tools were reported from a property in the 1200 block of Station Road, Coombs , on November 8th.

18) File 2019-12225: A bike trailer with a boat motor attached was found in the ditch on Kincade Road, Qualicum Beach, on November 8th.  If it is yours please contact Oceanside RCMP at 250-248-6111 during regular business hours.

19) File 2019-12270: A battery was stolen from a scooter parked outside on a residence in the 400 block of Morison Avenue, Parksville, on November 9th.

20) File 2019-12286: A purse was stolen from a business in the 300 block of Island Highway West, Parksville, on November 9th, and a bank card subsequently used to with draw funds
