Crime Watch Report - October 17 to 23, 2021

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 235 complaints. 

 

1) File 2021-11104: A window was reported smashed in a gatehouse in the Rathtrevor Provincial Park, Parksville, on October 17.

2) File 2021-11105: A building was reported egged in the 700 block of Island Highway West, Parksville, on October 17.

3) File 2021-11110: A prowler was reported in the 1000 block of Perkin Place, Qualicum Beach, on October 17.

4) File 2021-11119: A prowler was reported in the 600 block of Doehle Avenue, Parksville, on October 18.5) 

6) File 2021-11125: A 1992 white Jeep Cherokee, BC plate LF324K, was reported stolen in the area of Chatsworth Road, Qualicum Beach, on October 18.

7) File 2021-11126: A Huawei tablet was found in the 700 block of Lilac Road, Parksville, on October 18. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

8) File 2021-11128: A purse and contents were reported stolen from a patron of a business in the 300 block of Island Highway West, Parksville, on October 18. A subject was identified and apprehended.

9) File 2021-800192: A blue/black Marin Hawk Hill mountain bike was reported stolen in the 600 block of Soriel Road, Parksville, on October 18.

10) File 2021-11165: Graffiti was reported sprayed on a building in the 200 block of First Avenue West, Qualicum Beach, on October 19. Damage estimated at $200.

11) File 2021-11166: A Canada Post mailbox was reported damaged in the area of Horne Lake Road and Raymur Place, Qualicum, on October 19. Nothing appeared to be stolen.

12) File 2021-11172: A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 3500 block of Fairwinds Drive, Nanoose Bay, on October 19.

13) File 2021-11186: An engraved Swiss watch was reported stolen in the 100 block of Despard Avenue East, Parksville, on October 20.

14) File 2021-11186: A nine inch throwing knife was found in the 100 block of Despard Avenue, Parksville, on October 20. Please contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

15) File 2021-11193: A wire fence was reported damaged in the 400 block of Arbutus Street, Qualicum Beach, on October 20.

16) File 2021-11216: A trespass of a business compound and theft of a light fixture was reported in the 1300 block of Alberni Highway, Parksville, on October 21.

17) File 2021-11222: Trespassers were reported to have stated a small fire under a set of stairs of a building in the 800 block of Island Highway West, Parksville, on October 21.

18) File 2021-11276: Panels to a fence were reported damaged in the 1300 block of Lanyon Drive, Parksville, on October 22.

19) File 2021-11309: Theft of a street sign was reported in the area of Qualicum Road and Sumac Drive, Qualicum Beach, on October 23.

20) File 2021-11311: Approximately $2,200 of plants were reported stolen from a business in the 200 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on October 23.  The male suspect used a blue Dodge Van with BC Licence Plate NM8788.  The licence plate had been reported stolen from the Duncan area. 

21) File 2021-11316:  A car prowling were reported in the 300 block of Alberni Highway, Parksville, on October 23.
