Crime Watch Report - October 31 to November 7, 2021

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 266 complaints. 

 

1) File 2021-11579: A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on Memorial Avenue, Qualicum Beach, on October 31.

2) File 2021-11581: A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 1700 block of Nahmint Road, Qualicum Beach, on October 31. Investigation revealed that the license plate was altered and the vehicle was not insured.

3) File 2021-11582: BC plate FC557R was reported stolen form a vehicle in the 200 block of Dogwood Street, Parksville, on October 31.

4) File 2021-11583: A black and blue colour Marin Alcatraz mountain bike with a black and blue seat was reported stolen in the 1000 block of Resort Drive, Parksville, on October 31.

5) File 2021-11584: A vehicle was reported to have caused $5,000 damage to advertising signage in the 3200 block of Kirk Road, Qualicum Beach, on October 31. Surveillance video proved to police.

6) File 2021-11603: A dumpster was reported on fire in the 100 block of Pym Street North, Parksville, on October 31. Parksville Fire Department attended.

7) File 2021-11610: Three bags of empty beverage containers were reported stolen in the 400 block of Memorial Avenue, Qualicum Beach, on November 1. Video surveillance showed a male leaving the fenced enclosure with the goods.

8) File 2021-11621: Damage to the front door of a residence was reported in the 1900 block of Tom’s Turn Around, Qualicum Beach, on November 1.

9) File 2021-11651: A trespasser was reported in the 1000 block of Bellevue Road, Parksville, on November 2.

10) File 2021-11652: BC plates 716RDF were report stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of McCarter Street, Parksville, on November 2.

11) File 2021-11655: Four propane tanks were reported stolen in the 6800 block of Island Highway West, Bowser, on November 2. A male was seen cutting the propane cage.

12) File 2021-11669: A prowler was reported in the 900 block of Fairwinds Drive, Qualicum Beach, on November 2.

13) File 2021-11677: A break-and-enter of a pump house was reported and two chainsaws stolen in the 300 block of Garden Road, Qaulicum Beach, on November 3.

14) File 2021-11685: A first aid kit and change were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 1300 block of Pintail Drive, Parksville, on November 3.

15) File 2021-11705: A propane tank was reported stolen in the 5300 block of Gainsberg Road, Bowser on November 4. The tank was recovered later at the bus stop nearby.

16) File 2021-11742: A black Towy Cruiser, a dark grey Norco and another dark grey Norco bicycles were reported stolen from a storage shed in the 400 block of Alberni highway, Parksville, on November 5.

17)  File 2021-11755: A 1977 white Frontier motorhome, BC plate KH105R, was reported stolen in the 1600 block of Nahmint Road, Qualicum Beach, on November 5.

18) File 2021-11756: An attempted break-and-enter of a storage unit was reported in the 1700 block of Country Road, Qaulicum Beach, on November 5.

19) File 2021-11783: Two windows of a business were reported damaged in the 1000 block of Bellevue Road, Parksville, on November 6.

20) File 2021-11787: Change and keys were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of McCarter Street, Parksville, on November 6.

21) File 2021-11788: A business break-and-enter was reported in the 200 block of Morison Avenue, Parksville, on November 6. Items noted missing were three computer towers
