Crime Watch Report - September 1 to 7, 2019

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 304 complaints.

 

1) File 2019-9653: A satellite dish was reported stolen from a residence in the 6100 block of Island Highway West, on September 1st.

2) File 2019-9664: A 2004 burgundy Express tandem axle trailer was reported stolen from a property in the 500 block of Horne Lake Road, Qualicum Beach, on September 1st. A trailer on site was also reported broken into with miscellaneous tools missing.

3) File 2019-9676: A cracked window was reported on a 5th wheel possibly caused by someone attempting a force entry in the 800 block of Island Highway West, Parksville, on September 1st.

4) File 2019-9682: A metallic grey Kona Trek mountain bike was reported stolen from a business in the 800 block of Island Highway West, Parksville, on September 1st.

4) File 2019-9690: An RCMP Member on patrol identified an insecure door on a business in the 1200 block of Industrial Way in Parksville, on September 2nd.

5) File 2019-9696: A roofing machine, dump trailer, BC license plate PC349V and BC trailer plate WGV0R1 were reported stolen from a property in the 1600 block of McKibben Road, Errington, on September 2nd.

6) File 2019-9730: A wallet and cash was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 300 block of Bernard Avenue, Parksville, on September 3rd.

7) File 2019-9739: A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Fern Road East, Qualicum Beach, on September 3rd, causing estimated $2,000 to $4,000 damage.

8) File 2019-9742: A cell phone was turned in to the Oceanside Detachment on September 4th. Please call 250-248-6111 during regular office hours to claim.

9) File 2019-9748: Report of pellets shot at a house in the 100 block of Magnolia Drive, Parksville, on September 3rd.

10) File 2019-9759: Report of two rocks thrown through the back window of a vehicle in the 2500 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on September 3rd.

11) File 2019-9765: A BC license plate decal was stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Corfield Street South, Parksville, on September 3rd.

12) File 2019-9792: Report of prescription sunglasses and a pocket knife stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of Pioneer Crescent, Parksville, on September 4th.

13) File 2019-9794: Six pairs of sunglasses and change were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1400 block of Willow Way, Parksville, on September 4th.

14) File 2019-????: Report of loose change and 10 CDs stolen from a suspected unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Stanford Avenue West, Parksville, on Parksville.

15) File 2019-9889: Report of three truck tires/rims and a front bumper stolen from a truck in the 3100 block of Grafton Avenue, Errington, on September 6th.

16) File 2019-9898:  A report of vehicle theft from a property in the 900 block of Fairdowne Road, Parksville, on September 6th.  The vehicle was recovered by Comox RCMP on September 10th.

17) File 2019-9930: Report of a black 8 HP Yamaha 4 stroke outboard motor stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Kendon Drive, Qualicum Beach, on September 7th. Also reported missing were two Scotty brand down rigger.
