Crime Watch Report - September 5 to 11, 2021

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 301 complaints.  

1 File 2021-9679: A fire was reported started next to a building in the 100 block of Middleton Avenue, Parksville on September 7. 

2) File 2021-9686: Firewood was reported stolen from a property in the 600 block of Forsyth Avenue, Parksville, on September 7.

3) File 2021-9702: A vehicle was reported vandalized in the area of Alberni Highway and Bellevue Road, Parksville on September 7.

4) File 2021-9712: A pellet gun was reported stolen from a residence in the 2700 block of Old Alberni Highway, Qualicum Beach, on September 7.

5) File 2021-9726: A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 600 block of Pym Street North, Parksville, on September 8. The ignition was noted damaged.

6) File 2021-9730: A business break-and-enter was reported in the 400 block of Island highway East, Parksville, on September 8. A door was damaged and a large stainless steel tool chest is missing.

7) File 2021-9734: A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 600 block of Church Road, Parksville, on September 8. The steering column was noted damaged.

8) File 2021-9744: A catalytic converter was reported stolen form a vehicle in the 3700 block of Fairwinds Drive, Nanoose Bay, on September 8.

9) File 2021-9746: A blue children’s Norco Storm 2.2 bicycle was reported stolen in the 100 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on September 8.

10) File 2021-9757: A counterfeit Canadian $20 bill was received by a financial institution in Parksville, on September 8.

11) File 2021-9784: A shed break-and-enter was reported in the 300 block of Craig Street, Parksville on September 8.

12) File 2021-9790: A prowler was reported in the area of Inland Island Highway and Horne Lake Road, Qualicum, on September 9.

13) File 2021-9831: A Jimmy Stykes brand inflatable paddle board was found in the area of Doehle Avenue and Temple Street, Parksville, on September 10. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

14) File 2021-9834: A Canada Post mailbox was reported vandalized in the area of Melrose Road and Alberni Highway, Qualicum, on September 10. 

15) File 2021-9849: A fire was reported started next to a building in the 100 block of Hirst Avenue West, Parksville, on September 10. 

16) File 2021-9869: A window was reported broken by a rock thrower in the 100 block of Island Highway West, Parksville on September 11.  A suspect was apprehended a short distance away. 

17) File 2021-9870: A wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 500 block of Hirst Avenue West, Parksville, on September 11.

18) File 2021-9872: A blue box full of fishing tackle was found in the area of Ermineskin Avenue and Banks Avenue, Parksville, on September 11.  Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

19) File 2021-9877: Approximately twelve black totes of hand tools were reported stolen from a storage container in the 100 block of McColl Road, Bowser, on September 11.

20) File 2021-800160: An inflatable paddleboard with a blue strip was reported stolen in the 600 block of Gaetjen Street, Parksville, on September 11.
