The Community Safety Offices have a program available to all persons who regularly take physician prescribed medications.
The free package contains a Vial of Life container in which you list your current medications and other pertinent medical information. This container is kept in your refrigerator, and a sticker is provided for the refrigerator door. In the event that an emergency attendant is called to your home that the sticker will tell them that all the information they may need about your medications and state of health is in that container. This can save valuable time and would assist the ambulance personnel to best help you.
A small booklet is also supplied, in which to record the same information on your medications. It is suggested that this be carried in a purse, or gentleman’s coat pocket, in case of accident when away from home.
